# Privacy Policy — Sober Streak

Effective date: June 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Sober Streak — Quit Drinking (package dev.rokitskiy.soberstreak, the “App”), developed by Rokitskiy.DEV (“we”, “us”), collects, uses and protects your information. By using the App you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data (via Google Sign-In): your name, email address, profile photo link and a unique user ID.
  • Sobriety data: your sobriety start date, daily check-ins, relapse resets, streak statistics, milestones and achievements. We treat this as sensitive health-related information and never share or sell it.
  • Personal reasons: the motivational notes you add in the App.
  • Community content: forum topics and replies you post, together with your display name. This content is visible to other signed-in users.
  • Purchase status: whether you hold a Premium subscription or lifetime purchase. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play — we never see your payment details.
  • Push token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver notifications.
  • Usage and diagnostics: anonymized analytics events, crash logs and device diagnostics (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics).
  • Advertising identifiers: your device’s Advertising ID, used by Google AdMob to serve ads to free users.

Stored only on your device (never uploaded): your weekly alcohol spending estimate (used for the local “money saved” feature), app preferences and your local list of muted community members.

2. How we use information

  • Provide the App’s core features: sobriety counter, check-ins, achievements, forum.
  • Send optional reminders and community notifications (you can disable them anytime).
  • Maintain Premium entitlements.
  • Show ads to free users and measure App stability and usage.
  • Moderate community content (automated filtering and manual review).

3. Service providers

The App relies on Google LLC services, which process data on our behalf: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics (Firebase Privacy), Google AdMob (Google Privacy Policy) and Google Play Billing. Data is stored on Google Cloud servers (United States, us-central1). We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone other than these processors.

4. Advertising and consent

Free users see banner ads and may voluntarily watch rewarded ads. In regions where required (e.g. EEA/UK), the App shows a consent form (Google UMP) before serving personalized ads; you can decline personalization or change your choice in the App settings. We restrict ad content to a PG maximum rating and block alcohol- and gambling-related ad categories. Premium removes all ads.

5. Data retention and deletion

  • You can delete your account in the App (Profile → Delete account) or request deletion by email at info@rokitskiy.dev.
  • Upon deletion we remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days.
  • Anonymized analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase for up to 14 months, then purged automatically.
  • Purchase records are retained by Google Play under Google’s own policies.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location (GDPR, CCPA and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us at info@rokitskiy.dev to exercise these rights. Data export is not yet available in-app; we will provide a copy of your data upon email request.

7. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to stored data is restricted by Firebase Security Rules so that only you (and content you explicitly post to the community) is accessible to others.

8. Children

The App is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Important health notice

Sober Streak is a habit-building tool, not a medical service. Your sobriety data is self-reported and is not shared with healthcare providers, insurers or any third parties.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page; the effective date above always reflects the latest version.
